The USA: Indian Students’ Favorite Education Hub

When it comes to higher education abroad, a large number of Indians prefer the USA more than other destinations. Every year, Indian students apply for undergraduate, graduate, diploma and certificate programs to universities of the US. There is a kind of race seen among Indian youth for studying in the USA. A degree, diploma or even a certificate from the US enhances the resume and able to provide good job opportunities. MNCs in India give preference to overseas education certificates more than education certificates from India. This is what encourages Indians to get any type of educational certificate from overseas and America is one of the most favourite destinations for them. The destination provides not only quality education but also the opportunity to get work in the country and any part of the world.

Times of India, a leading news agency of India, has done a survey recently on the US migration in India for higher education. It has come across the fact that Hyderabad youth migrate to the US for education more than Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. According to the survey, there are around 26,220 Hyderabad residents with F1 visa, 17,294 from Mumbai with F1 visa, 9,141 from Chennai, 8,835 from Bangalore and 8,728 from Delhi. The data is assumed on the basis of an earlier study where 100,000 Indian youth granted F1 visa. India ranks second after China in the list of 74 nations with holding F1 visa. Not just that, Bookings Institutions has done a survey for foreign population in the USA from 2008-2012 has revealed remarkable insights on India. 44% of Kolkata youth has applied for doctorate programs to different institutes of the USA. Engineering has developed as a top choice of Indians students in the US and later comes business management.

There is no secret that the US institutions desire for foreign students because of brains, money and prestige they bring. Year by year, a significant amount of growth is noticing in the percentage of foreign students in the US. India has got the second position after China for migration of youth to the US. Education experts believe that soon India will receive a considerable growth of migration to the US for higher education.
